Porsche Centre Oman and Shell Oman have teamed up to launch a large-scale EV charging network, with over 130 electric vehicle chargers planned across the country by the end of 2026. The rollout includes eight Porsche-Shell co-branded high-performance DC fast chargers, primarily at Shell stations. Additionally, 125 Porsche Destination AC Chargers will be installed at popular locations nationwide.

Starting in June 2025, Porsche EV owners in Oman will enjoy a two-year subscription that includes up to 2,250 kilowatt-hours of free charging at Porsche-branded DC locations. After this period, they can continue using the network at preferential rates. Meanwhile, access to the AC Destination Chargers will remain free of charge for Porsche drivers.

Samir Abdul Rasool Qassim Al Zadjali, CEO of Porsche Centre Oman, emphasized the initiative’s impact. He noted that manufacturing the network in Oman offers seamless logistics, reliable delivery, and unmatched convenience for customers. He also underlined Porsche’s commitment to supporting sustainable transport through advanced infrastructure.

Burair Al Lawati, General Manager of Strategy & Energy Transition at Shell Oman, echoed the sentiment. He highlighted how this partnership contributes to the nation’s green goals by building scalable, efficient charging stations. According to him, the collaboration represents a milestone in Oman’s clean mobility movement.

Already, some chargers are operational. Both companies plan to strengthen outreach with public awareness campaigns and digital tools that guide users to nearby charging locations and educate them on EV benefits. These resources aim to simplify adoption and encourage more drivers to embrace electric mobility.

The plan fits well with Oman’s long-term vision for sustainability. It promotes cleaner transport while improving convenience for EV owners. Moreover, Porsche’s fast-charging network promises reliability, speed, and a premium experience—features highly valued by modern drivers.

This partnership highlights how automakers and energy companies can work together to transform mobility. Porsche and Shell’s investment marks a forward-thinking step toward sustainable, connected transport infrastructure in Oman.
