ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) deepened its outreach on Tuesday at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional rulers, security chiefs, senior government officials, and youth leaders met to discuss empowerment, leadership, and values.
The summit was graced by the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, alongside representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Deliberations centered on youth-focused policies, innovation, and rehabilitation strategies for sustainable development. Participants also stressed the importance of escalating unresolved concerns to the NCC for redress. A panel session highlighted practical approaches to enhancing youth participation in national growth.
UPAM described its participation as a strategic step toward its forthcoming launch, noting that strong alliances built at such platforms will strengthen support for its Pan-African mission.
Africa Arise Summit Engagement
UPAM leaders also took part in the Africa Arise Summit 2025, led by Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and technical manager of the ARISE initiative. The event celebrated King Makers and Community Service Heroes for their contributions to society and showcased youth talent from The Lioners Academy.
UPAM delegates, introduced by Mr. Itodo Daniel, met with Dr. Dubem to explore partnership opportunities. Discussions emphasized leadership rooted in service and Pan-African unity.
“The gatherings reinforced our vision for partnership, leadership, and social emancipation across Africa,” said Comr. Williams John, General Secretary of UPAM.
The United Pan-Africanist Movement stated that its involvement in these summits signals its intent to mobilize youth, celebrate service, and build a united Pan-African front as it prepares for its official launch.
