UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met President Abdel Fattah Al Sissi of Egypt in Cairo today. Their discussions focused on strengthening fraternal ties and expanding cooperation to support both nations’ development goals.
The talks, held at Al Ittihadiya Palace during Sheikh Mohamed’s fraternal visit, covered opportunities for deeper collaboration across multiple fields. Economic, trade, and development sectors received special attention as areas where joint projects could deliver lasting benefits for the two countries.
In addition, the leaders reviewed pressing regional and international issues. They emphasized the importance of building on recent momentum from growing global recognition of the State of Palestine. Both sides reaffirmed that a two-state solution remains the only viable path toward achieving a just and lasting peace. They stressed that such a resolution would enhance regional security and stability, while benefiting all countries and peoples in the Middle East.
The leaders also voiced support for all efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and to reach a permanent resolution to the crisis. At the same time, they underlined the need to strengthen joint Arab action in response to unprecedented regional challenges. By working together, Arab nations can safeguard security and stability while ensuring sustainable prosperity for their peoples.
A high-level delegation accompanied Sheikh Mohamed. It included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with ministers and senior officials.
Sheikh Mohamed’s visit concluded with a formal farewell at Cairo International Airport, where President Al Sissi personally saw him off, underscoring the strength of the UAE-Egypt partnership.
