Al-Hilal Saudi titles stand unmatched after the Saudi Football History Documentation project ranked them as the most successful club in the Kingdom. The Riyadh giants collected 90 regional, national, and continental championships. Al-Ittihad followed with 59, Al-Ahli with 53, Al-Nassr with 48, and Al-Shabab with 43.
The project highlighted Al-Hilal’s dominance in the league, where they secured 21 titles. Al-Ittihad won 14, Al-Nassr 10, Al-Ahli nine, and Al-Shabab six. Al-Ettifaq earned two, while Al-Wehda and Al-Fateh each lifted one. Four league campaigns — 1966–67, 1967–68, 1969–70, and 1975–76 — stopped before completion, leaving gaps in the official record of the Saudi Pro League, now called the Roshn Saudi League.
In the King Cup, Al-Hilal lead again with nine triumphs. Al-Ahli come close with eight, followed by Al-Ittihad on six and Al-Nassr on five. Al-Shabab celebrated three victories, Al-Ettifaq two, while Al-Wehda, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Faisaly each won once. The Crown Prince Cup, which ended in 2017, also reflected Al-Hilal’s supremacy. They claimed 13 trophies, while Al-Ittihad collected eight and Al-Ahli six. Al-Shabab and Al-Nassr managed three each. Other clubs, including Al-Riyadh and Al-Fayha, earned single victories.
The tally across the three major domestic competitions cemented Al-Hilal’s position. They hold 43 combined trophies, while Al-Ittihad own 28, Al-Ahli 23, Al-Nassr 18, and Al-Shabab 12. Beyond domestic achievements, Al-Hilal’s success extends to Asia, where they became the continent’s most decorated club through repeated AFC Champions League victories.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation launched the documentation project in collaboration with FIFA, the Ministry of Sports, the General Authority for Radio and Television, the King Abdulaziz Foundation, and the Saudi Pro League. Officials designed the project to preserve the Kingdom’s football heritage and provide reliable records of each competition.
Al-Hilal Saudi titles reflect more than dominance. They symbolize a culture of consistency, ambition, and excellence. Their officially recognized record sets the standard for rivals and strengthens their reputation as the benchmark of Saudi football history.
